Here’s a rule: a long email is never necessary. Never.

This just in from the Department of Who Knew? You can resize multiple point sizes of text in Mac OS X by using mathematical equivalents in that little box just under “Size”. In other words, if you select multiple items of different sizes and want to triple the size of all, just type *3 (times 3) and hit return. Other functions ( / divide, + add, – subtract) work as well.

Form Us With Love is a Swedish design studio based in Stockholm. They aim to challenge the conventional through design initiatives, following a very contemporary minimalist aesthetic but with a twist of whimsy.

Their studio space, divided into three levels (office, studio and workshop) is inspired at once by gallery and by industrial spaces, and – here’s that twist – Lego. I find it a great canvas for their compelling, beautiful work.

I don’t know if this is a sign of Apple’s minute attention to details or if it’s just a coincidence, but the iPhone 4 fits very snuggly in the lid groove on the MacBook Air.

Very interesting.

Minimalist design has been highly influenced by Japanese traditional design and architecture.

British minimalist architect John Pawson has designed a ribbon to support the disaster relief effort, following the earthquake and tsunami, earlier this month. Electronic version of the design is available to download for attachment to websites and emails. A donation can be made online.
