Swedish graphic design company Konst & Teknik can count work for Mono Kultur magazine in its impressive portfolio.

Particularly mentionable here are the book covers for Deleuze och mångfaldens veck and The Rest is Silence, and the extremely useful CopyPasteCharacter—an online tool giving easy access to typographic characters—that negates the need to learn alt codes and other such shortcuts. What a marvellously simple time saver.

Thanks to both TUAW and being featured on Tumblr’s wonderful new directory, it seems there are a lot of new visitors to the site. Welcome. I really do hope you stick around for a while. I urge you to check out a few pages, learn a bit about your humble (well, most of the time) Curator, and most of all take away a few ideas that at the least cause you to think and, at most, really, truly change your game.

Your neighborhood butcher shop, in your pocket.

So you’re walking through the meat section of the grocery store. You need to pick up something for dinner, and you’re feeling adventurous. You pick up…Fillet ofwhat? Top round which? Shoulder-cut steak of huh? What do you do?

You take out your iPhone, tap Butcher, tap Beef, and choose Rib Steak. It says you can pan-fry it, is that hard to do? You tap Pan-fry for a quick reminder. Finally, you tap Search Epicurious.com, and find out Rib of Beef with Garlic Rosemary Potatoes only takes a half hour to make.

Yes, I am a meat eater. In fact that’s my main food. I don’t do veggies.

Pen v keyboard v Newton v Graffiti v Treo v iPhone (Phil Gyford’s website):

For some time I’ve been meaning to test my small collection of PDA/smartphone gadgets to see which of their methods of input was quickest. The iPhone’s software keyboard? The Newton’s handwriting recognition? Palm’s Graffiti? With the possible imminent arrival of a tablet from Apple that will save the world, it seemed a good time to get round to the test.

Fascinating and I am also somewhat surprised by the overall results. (thx DF)
