Nice, clean design. I really like type-based layouts. The footer, though (where all the navigation takes place) is way larger than the content its self… Is this site about the content, or its self?

I guess that was why they placed contents and strong black and white images on the top of the page to cover that problem. I think it was a good decision.

Oh I have to strongly disagree with that one. The content is the purpose of your site, not the other way around. The content should always be the primary focus.

I also believe that content should be a primary of the site. What I was trying to say was that placing contents on the top of the page couldn’t solve the problem but was “helping” at least.

Thanks for the comments. You should go to the site if you haven’t already. The horizontal scrolling allows the hierarchy of the homepage to shift and when you click on a post the big type is partly obscured. If the type was not dealt with as strongly as it is, it could still work but the feeling would be quieter and the title might compete with the images at the top. The point of the first page of this blog is to give an overview of what you might find in the posts, and since the topic is design, a demonstration is just as good. What do you think?
